Exclamation Pro skid training 28th- one place remaining £111...

https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...ml#post8316096

Due to unfortunate circumstances a place has become available for this excellent Wet Grip Day, at Rockingham Motor Speedway, on Saturday 28th Feb 09.

At £111 it's a bargain..!

Be quick..!

Any restriction on the type of car that can take part?

Might be interested in bringing our race car if it doesn't have to be road legal.

Robin,
There were no licence or documentation checks when I went and they never looked at the cars.
You'll be very lucky to do 30 mph - but this may be at 7000 rpm , so its not as if the engine will be under full load and making a good bellow.
If its your Spec D then I doubt you'll be making any more noise than my 3" decat whihc didn't raise any eyebrows.
Best check with Rockingham/Jason though.

Could be 3 Spec Ds together

Hi Nick,

No I am not thinking of the Spec D, I am talking about bringing our proper race car, we have had limited wet weather testing so this could be useful but there would be no escaping it is a race car and not a road car and we would be running on Michelin race wets (well I could be mean and make him try it on slicks )

For track days we can usually run it on 'noisy' days as most track day organisers allow car that pass MSA Scrutineering so it is a question of whether or not they would have a problem with a race car doing this sort of event.

Kind regards,

Robin

Ah right.
Since each run on the pan lasts about 10 secs and the throttle input varies (a lot) then any noise isn't sustained, unlike the cars going around the main track at the same time.

Think that's one for Rockingham to answer TBH.

Hi Nick,

I don't think noise will be a problem.

It is just whether or not a GT race car will be allowed if so we will definitely be there.

I have PM'ed Jasonius and just awaiting a response.

Hope to see you there,

Robin

This is what we will be bringing

Although it looks a bit different now as that shows it in 2008 spec and it is now in full 2009 spec which includes aero so it now has a big carbon rear wing, front dive planes as well as bits you cant see such as a flat floor to the rear.
