Now he was a clever bloke, I'm sure you'll all agree.
When the apple landed on his head, he simply thought fu*k me.
He knew all about the sciences, physics and the stars,
But I'll tell you all something for nowt,
He knew sweet fu*k all about cars.

Yes he spoke of centripedal force, gravity and the slingshot theory,
But he didn't even drive a car,
Don't you think that's rather scary?

Yes, old Isaac knew all about how cars would crash. He figured this out more than two hundred years before they were invented and he didn't even have a bloody licence !

The MY01 thread shows we try to disprove his lies. The trouble is when we prove him right, we get to meet him and tell him first hand at that great IM dealership in the sky?

Whilst the likes of myself, Jonfelstead and Don Palmer continue to try and convince you that he was right and you are all wrong, please take one simple bit of advice which is:-

If ever Sir Isaac Newton is driving your car, there is no need to panic as you're simply going to die.

And for all of you who are still trying to prove him wrong with your fancy cars, big brakes, chips, spoilers and all - I would like to take this opportunity to say that its been nice meeting you and I'll see you in about 40 years!

Food for thought Eh........

PS Even ProDrive can't get the better of him!

If I found Newton driving my car, I don't care how clever he is, the repair bill would be huge.
"Oi, Newton, NOOOOOO".

Seriously though: Leonardo Da Vinci (1452-1519) stated the two basic laws of friction 200 years before Newton even defined what force is.

EDIT: Even more seriously though: I don't wish to incur the wrath of the collective, by appearing to trivialise Mike's message (tequila will do strange things). As our esteemed Sir Winston Churchill once said : "Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm." That means failing to take the perfect line, not failing to live...

I agree with Mike@PD, you all try 50psi on track you will see

Scotty.

PS: Adjust your driving to the conditions! Your car goes off then you surely don't know your limitations. His High Performance Driving Course will let you see. That 50psi on the track is the way to be

PPS: Do you really think you know how to drive? Or do you really want to learn how to drive properly? It's your car, your tyres and your life.

Mike.
I think you 'Three Wise Men' should lay off the frankincense powder for a while....

Stef.
PS What exactly was it that provoked this interesting, multi-edited post? The smell or the taste?

Sorry chaps but I have another one for you. Whilst driving along a main road with my father in the passenger seat, another vehicle pulled into my path at a junction. I ranted and raved re-affirming that I was in the right and that the other driver was wholly in the wrong. Dad quietly said to me:-

This is the tale of Daniel Gray,
Who died mainaining his right of way,
So right was he as he sped along,
But he's just as dead now as if he'd been wrong.

Think about it ?

I go to accidents all the time and whilst members of their own families lay dying in the road, thats all I hear.

"We had the right of way"

Priorities are different for everyone I suppose !

Jonfelstead will know what I mean ........

You calling Johnfelstead tight?

Stef,
You are right, far too much frankinstuf consumed tonight...

You know how it is, though, you have a bit of a dig and then think "oh no, will everyone think I am a heartless pedestrian killing homocidal maniac" and then go totally overboard the other way.

Need water...

You didn't work on the 'Think, before you drink, before you drive' campaign did you? If you didn't, you should have!

I thought that this would provoke much more debate about dynamics and driving! Never mind it was worth trying..........
