Too much hard work, and they work best on larger engines too. An SVX 'charger might be cool !

imho

P.S. Vortech do belt driven centrifugal blowers, but for the money turbo wins for me !

supercharger is driven of the crank so isnt as efficient as a turbo for power, but what you do get is instant boost no matter what rpm and much more controllable.

used to have a polo g40 which I fitted an eaton m45 charger from a cooper`s`.

An electric supercharger off ebay will have you blowing away Porsche GT2's. Rumour has it this guy has one but he's keeping quiet... https://www.scoobynet.com/hutch-8/74...t2-porshe.html

it would be like the new golfs. 1.4tsi there supercharged down bottom end f rev range, then turbo comes in higher up. dont half go well

1 thing tho, you dont feel it come on boost. no wow factor. IMO

I think its getting the SC in and on to a pulley on the scooby, it makes sense, a pretty easy mod too, been done on the vx`s with good effect on a cumbersome engine, so on a engine with comp ratios already sorted it should be great,
like said instant power thru the whole rev range.

You could use a small charger to assist the turbo, would make an interesting project

It's all about the huge cost of mapping the thing once built, VW are swimming in cash... we aren't.

maybe better conversion on a sport as a sleeper

I've always wanted to try it on a scoob;

The poor throttle response always peeved me off. Supercharger would cure that.
