Tax HELP
I need to tax the Pug
I sorned it as i havent been using it but want to use it tomorrow night
If i tax it for 6 month tomorrow will it back date to 1st January and i will loose 1 month
Or am i better waiting till the 1st Feb to tax it.

I think you will find they will backdate it, I have had this trouble before.
If you have a renewal form then you can do it half way through the month, but not if the cars sorned.

That is correct. I have just this minute come back from taxing our Fiat: the Post Master told me that an untaxed car that was taxed today would only get a disk valid till end December 2009 (i.e. 11 months). However, a tax disk purchased tomorrow (30 January) for an untaxed car would be valid for the full year (i.e. till end January 2010).
So unless he's lying/misinformed, you should be able to pop into your Post Office tomorrow and get a disk in time for your journey in the evening.

I phoned the Post Office im going to who said if i go tomorrow it will be from the 1st of Feb :-) an she said i will be able to use it from tomorrow.
So its all good. If you see me in the shady pug gimme a flash. You cant miss it. black 3 dr, Dump valve going off coupled with a aftermath of black smoke gangster low on black 205 1.9 rims lol
