Default A Newage Mileage Question... Answered!

There's been a lot of threads recently (as I'm sure there always have been) about mpg - specifically about newages. Usually initiated with the inevitable question and followed dutifully with a list of numbers .

Well here is something substantive for those who want to know! Sadly I've kept track every time the V-Power pump has been milked using the phone and this is the culmination of about 6 months worth. Can you tell I didn't want to get on with work yet?

Spec is in 'View My Scooby' - but basically a Stage 1 full decat Newage JDM STI (remapped).

Here's the graphic:

I'd agree with that graph, it's looks similar to what I get depending on how I drive

from the graph I would come to the conclusion that you have alot of time on your hands!!!

... mine would be pretty similar I think, with about 220 miles to a tank working out as an average.

296 miles and the light hasn't come on yet !

200+ miles @ 80 mph on a motorway run, plus dawdle to work all week.

6 mpg on track, usually expect around 22-23 mpg average, over 43,000 miles so far.

Currently waiting for JGM to release all the BHP....

Ohhh, 200 miles to a tank.
I knew they were thirsty but i wasnt quite expecting to see 17-18mpg on a regular basis

I really want a blob eye, but drive 140mls to work on monday and 140 back on friday, averaging about 55-60mph, mostly motorway an dual carriage, with a few a-road twisties thrown in.

Currently doing it in a 2005 VW caddy, re-mapped to 167bhp on the rollers!
Averaging about 35mpg on that run. (bad for a tdi VAG but still not bad!)

Well as an addition, did 250 miles early last week and managed 28.5 mpg., a mix of A1M @ 70 mph and a blast across East Yorkshire at a bit more

Now running nearly 400 bhp and not hanging about....

Sadly managed 15 mpg on the run home to Squire's @ Sherburn.

Good effort.

The WRXs seem to make more miles than the STIs. My friend's does. However, a remap does improve it!
