Personally if you are new to scoobies I'd buy an unmolested (or mildly modded) model.

Preferably from someone with a bit of history on here / SIDC / local club.

I'm not too knowlegable on the clasics (the one on pistonheads) but they are now getting on a bit and unless you like the classic shape I'd go for a Blobeye (2003-2005) STi. A good compromise between age / depreciation

All IMHO

Welcome

Shaun

Its not good good mileage, most of the new parts there could be bought for about £300 all in.

Full stamped history is a plus but it does seem like your paying a lot extra for his choice in mods. I certainly don't think he'd be losing any money selling at that price.

This model will probably have around 230bhp

Whereas if you go for a v3 sti you've got 280 as standard for around £3500 plus money in your pocket for a rainy day and mods.

Or if your happy to spend £5k and have money elsewhere for something going wrong theres some nice 2dr versions around from £4-5k at the moment. In fact theres a nice type r with engine re-build on here for £5k in the for sale section.

Dug the link out for ya:
