I have one myself they were built to commemorate subaru winning the wrc and have logos in the front seats, I belive they have a different gearbox ( closer ratios ) some other bits are different aswell such as the colour being rally blue or something.
im sure if you do a search you will find more definitive answers, I did myself but have just forgotten most of the stuff.

Its a 1996 model year car (even though they were built from Autumn 1995 onwards). Describing it as a '96 will make it clearer to people.
