Should I swap my Celica GT4 for this?

Should I swap my Celica GT4 for this?
Right i'm new to this forum and have never owned an Impreza before, but the time has come for me to get rid of my Celica GT4 and get myself and old shape STI.
Basically i've been offered a straight swap for my GT4 with some guy who has a 93 WRX. The WRX has the STI V3 engine in it and the facelift WRX gearbox.
What i'm basically asking is if you guys think it s worth it and maybe if any of you have seen this car before and know if its a good one or not?
Heres the pistonheads advert for my GT4:
Toyota : Celica GT4, excellent condition!!!
Heres the pistonheads advert for the WRX:
Subaru : How a classic scooby should be!
Let me know what you guys think. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

"How a classic scooby should be"
uhmm i beg to differ.
The vents are horrendous and are those 19`s its running on?
Sure the paint job looks good but its all a bit 'bling' for me and not what an impreza is about, perhaps thats why it got the fast car feature, do people still read that lol.
Be interesting to see the full spec list though.

IMHO the Subaru isnt worth £4500. I've seen a few 98/99 facelift STi's for sale for less than that.
Plus STi's are a bit prone to bottom end failure, probably why the engine has been changed but if the V3 engine has never been rebuilt either, chances are you'll be shelling out for a rebuild in the coming months/years.
I'd personally look for an Sti thats been rebuilt or a 99> UK model that can be mapped.
Subaru : 1997 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI WHITE V4 turbo

it says 18s in the advert but no for that price i reckon you could find a nice standard STI 3.
I think Harvey did some experimenting to see if sticking 1 of those vents actually worked and i sure it didn't and as for sticking 1 over the battery area is fecking pointless.
a nicer looking one imo
Merryhill Auto Centre : STi Version III, Red Top Engine, Power Follow Exha

If you want to get Subaru id wait and get a newer sti for the money. I wouldnt be swopping your GT4 for that wrx matey, cuz:
1 - That wrx is over priced
2 - Your GT4 is absolutely mint and is one of the nicest ive ever seen
3 - For a few more pounds you could swap for a much newer sti with some nice goodies
Up to you though, im not a fan of GT4'S to be honest, but yours is georgeous matey

Thanks for all the responses guys its appreciated. Think I might give this one a miss now so just as well I asked before I jumped in.
Sorry for my total lack of knowledge here but around what mileage should I expect an STI engine to need rebuilding?
Also what do you think of this one in AutoTrader?
Auto Trader UK - SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI SPEC!!FRESH IMPORT LOW MILES
Or alternatively are there any you would suggest I take a look at?

I suggest you take a look in the 'For Sale' section here in Scoobynet, some real cracking cars pop up for sale in thier, and chances are they will be sensibly and professionally modified by site members
You could get a real good car if you keep an eye out

Looks like i'll have to sell up and sit tight for a while until a good one turns up.

some of their stock is'nt quite as mint as they make out
Alot of the cars had bad scuffs/bumpers resprayed/worn interiors etc.
Just my opinion
