all im trying to do is locate the previous owner,whose name was peter and lived in newport,want to find out what was done to the car.. there is a little switch by the handbake/gearstick and he dosent know what its for.....

Hmmm. I'd be tempted to lift the covering and follow the wires. It could have controlled a number of things that are no longer there even.

A plaster I employed for a bit had one there and it spun his rear No. Plate.
Very 007. He gave 2k for an R plate classic that was 80% filler. Took me out for a blast on morning before work and the poor old thing dump its oil and went on fire. Very nice sounding BOV though. Its still up his drive feeling very unwell. Had to sack him, awful plasterer. He works in a car wash now saving up to resurrect the poor old scooby.
