The Derv
Well im running about in this for the next while until my brother wants it back lol which wont be soon. Its free to run so
My question is.
I notice it boosts to just over 1.5bar when the pedal is forced to the floor lol- From what i have read this seems to be ALOT for this engine/turbo im assuming this is why he has blew 1 turbo an the head before. What sort of power do you think it will be running?
Also it doesnt smoke through 1st,2nd but in 3rd it black smokes but that clears when the turbo boosts up. Is this just the fuel its running on
Not to fussed if it brakes as we have a couple more spares about :-)
3 door 306 d turbo - The one with the decent diesel engine
Full service history from new every receipt an bill of sale ect
lowered on coilovers
anthracite 205 1.9 gti alloys with kuhmo's all round
Uprated turbo as the other one blew due to high boost
New head gasket as the other one went lol
Boost cranked right up to pretty much breaking point lol
Injectors from a mercedes van - Cant mind the model
Xantia intercooler hidden neatly behind the bumper
bosch uprated diesel pump
straight through stainless steel exhaust
Boost gauge
dump valve
uprated clutch
short shift
Sparco steering wheel an boss
poly bushed all round

130bhp maybe?
I think they are 92bhp standard. Not bad for a roller skate!
A friend of mine had a Citroen ZX Volcane TD with the same lump and even when it was standard it was pretty impressive.
When you say uprated pump; is it the standard one tuned or a complete new one out of the box?

VW, Seat, Audi all good for 2 bar and removing the EGR loses the smoke screen too ! Jamesemt has around 350 lb.ft at what seems like tickover, I couldn't even manage a rolling start without chronic wheelspin.
But good mpg !

1.5 bar looks a lot but it depends what turbo it's running. I've no idea at all about the relative strength of the engine.
With the straight through exhaust, it'd normally be boost control that would be worrying to me. Though if it's got a BOV and a boost gauge, it's at least possible to set approximate limits.
Tuning turbo diesel Peugeot 306 for better fuel economy and increased performance
