This will probably seem a very stupid question but I have just brought my first ever Scooby and I have a question about the Boost Gauge for the Turbo (mounted just behind the steering wheel).
On the gauge there is a “0” at the 9 o’clock position, is the turbo being used when the needle is reading below this?? What do these readings mean?
Excuse my stupidity, I would just like to know what this is telling me.
Many thanks.

There are 2 basic states of pressure within your induction system/manifold at any one time: vaccum or boost.
When you are on the +ve side your turbo is generating and providing boost to the intake system (you are probably toeing it a bit at this point).
If the reading is below zero or in the -ve, you are creating vaccum; caused by you either "lightly cruising" or backing off on a trailing throttle.
Not very technical, but a basic explanation.
Neil.
