Default Sticking on Number Plates.

I have legal plates screwed on to my car however I also have some Illegally spaced plates as well like many others on here. Is there a simple way of sticking the Illegal ones over the regular ones and being able to alternate between the two as and when I want to without having to spend hours cleaning them up each time after a swop? I was thinking some type of silicon??????

Some people use heavy duty velcro sticky pads on all 4 corners of the plates

Agreed that prob works best, or just re-fit the plates each time its only 2 screws!

Get your spaced plates stuck to the back of your other ones, Flip plates

It's not that simple as I can't get to the nuts hence why i'd like to stick them on.

As an alternative, I fix the dodgy plates to the car and have the genuine spaced ones in the boot, on the few occasions I have been pulled I have said that I have been at a meet and forgot to change them.
I offer to do it right there at the road side and I have never had an issue.

To be honest if the only thing you are doing wrong is badly spaced plates your unlikely to get pulled anyway.

Hope that helps.

Have you seen them No More Nails sticky pads, or roll of it? It is quite good and when you want to take it off, it usually peels off fairly easily, even though it's very strong. You can get removable or permanent, but tbh, either will usually come off with a bit of effort, and it's clear so not messy. Also doesn't tend to leave loads of crap behind, in my experience. It kind of feels like a jelly like tape. HTH.
