Bigger the Better

I've driven the full circuit and its definitely a good circuit to start on, there is very little to hit apart from one corner, so you just need to slow down to 9.5 10ths there. Otherwise you can just slide off the tarmac and onto either the concrete or the grass. Some say that it is a bit clinical as it is so flat (but then it was an airfield!) however on the full circuit there are so many bends you will still be learning at the end of the day.
£225 sounds about right I know they put the prices up quite a bit after the first year.
The surface is quite grippy, but I left with some tread on the tyres.
I'd go ahead and book it, make a point of getting an instructor to show you the circuit early on. Its amazing how many people think they will go out on their own and learn the circuit then get an instructor to put them right later on. Best to learn from the experts first off.
Who is arranging it, I might come along too.
Cheers
Andy

I went there two weeks ago and just paid £35 / hour to go and play in the snow - Don happened to be there and offered to advise me. He's an absolutely superb instructor, best I've ever had, not bossy or anything, just constructive. I learnt more about my M5 in those 5 mins than the previous 2.5 years.
I'd like to do his wetter the better course at some point.
The airfield surface is rough all the way (Concrete sections glued together with tar seals, uneven at best), apart from a 300 yard section which the've tarmac'd.
Very safe environment to play...
Paul.
