As a number of friends and colleagues have RS's and Scooby's it seemed like a good idea to register with both of the BB's and join in the fun.
I do have an RS500 hence the name but always up for a chinwag with fellow car enthusiasts, i hope you do not mind me coming on board.

cheers

I am sure that in a straight line i could more than look after myself. Even if i had some catching up to do from a standing start. Car has been crossed the 1/8 mile mark at the pod in 8.1 secs @ 92mph going onto a sub 12.5 1/4 (rear wheel still aswell). Of course don't ask me to attempt a corner though thats all a little alien!

cheers

i get the idea! sh@t better start editing the last reply now.
really just looking to find out a bit about the scooby's to be honest. Although i know a couple of owners i know little about the cars and find there are so many variants on the market all with different specs.
perhaps i should hang around for awhile i'm sure i will gradualy pick it up.

cheers

Yeah! know what you mean about the 480bhp thats why i prefer to look more towards your estimate its a safer bet. Although i did talk to a number of tuners (mainly the ex-racers rather than some of the populist advertised names and some say it is possible. Who am i to argue?
Anyway i'm sure you're right about the track thing , so much advancement in technology from the days when Mr Rouse etc.were doing their stuff. Entertaining though!

off to bed now nice speaking to you guys - i'll be back

cheers

Cool

Oh go on then !

I can tell you're dying to tell us your spec.

Here's my guess given the 1/4 mile time

all 8 injectors functioning (greens ?)
T4 (obviously, it's a RS500)
Uprated MAF sensor (is it 2.5 bar or summat)
Ahmed bayjoo map
running ... ohhh.... 34 Psi ?
Standard (ie RS500) intercooler
decreased compression ratio ?

Struggling now cos I'm pissed.

I reckon you have 430Bhp

J

We normally argue about track times rather than straight line speed (which gives you an ickle disadvantage of course

Agree with Mattski though, I would also love to own an RS500 (but don't let anyone else hear me say that !)

Only running on 4 greys at the time with in the region of 450BHP. Engine guy clamied 480BHP but never been able to prove that. Running all eight injectors now. Yet to RR it ar run it at the pod. Maybe this year though

pi$$ed on a monday night , hope it was in a good cause. Unfortunately have to save that kind of abuse to a Friday (mind you make up for my lack of effort the other 6 days - know what i mean?)

cheers

I'm giving up ****, I deserve a little recompense.

Ps I know **** all about cossies, but 480Bhp with Greys !!! I don't think so.

Anyway, I was jesting before, if your running 8 injectors, you should be running serious BHP. You do have it mapped properly ? (I know teaching to suck eggs etc)

I can safely say you have more BHP than any Scooby posting on this board !! (by ahout 100Bhp) don't get cocky though, there's a few guys here that will pants you round a track

Ps I'm going on track with a few of the Cossie guys at Goodwood (Tim and Jason P)
