Tesco 99 - Anyone else finding it hard to get at the moment ?
My local Tesco hasn't had any 99 for 2 weeks now ! They've had deliveries of 95 and diesel but no 99. I've gone back to using V-Power again for the moment.
Anyone else having similar problems ?

Haven't been in there to ask, went about 3-4 days in a row to get some and then gave up and went back to shell. I go past the Tesco's everyday and have checked to see if they have any which the haven't for best part of 2 weeks !
A mate of mine said it happened a while ago for 2-3 weeks and they just kept telling him they didn't know why they didn't have any and had no idea when they would be getting anymore !

2 Tescos local to me and 1 has it all the time but the other only about 75% of the time, dont mind me asking mate but why dont you use v power any way, thought they were very similar if not v power a little better, higher ron, from what Ive read on here? Seen youre car spec, very nice , is this why?

Another reason is because although V-Power is slightly higher ron, apparently it goes off rather quickly and the ron drops while Tesco 99 doesn't suffer from this. Also the Evo boys seem to favour Tesco 99 as they seem to be able to get less det while using that instead of V-Power.
I haven't noticed a great deal of difference between the two other than price really although I haven't had it dyno'd since swapping to Tesco 99.
With the way it's going i'll be going back to V-Power anyway

I thought it might be price, Im the same, got v power yesterday for 97.9 but last week hadd tesco 99 for 89.9 though this was with 5p off a litre for spending £50 on shopping. My cars pretty standard, as you can see if you view my scooby, but havnt really noticed any difference in the 2, they both seem to dissapear pretty quick though lol.

You guys have it easy - in North Devon we can't get 99 ron fuel. My nearest Shell garage is 35 minutes away and all the Tesco garages sell 97 ron.
It's no wonder I add 10% methanol.......
