How to attract Mr. or Mrs. Right
What we drive says a lot about us: could the right car attract to you the love of your life? Is the wrong badge a turn-off? We reckon that boys and girls have very different ideas about which cars are cool - and in the name of science, we've gathered together some viewers to tell us what they think of some supposedly very desirable motors.
Subaru Impreza WRX: The girls thought this would be bought by a man with a big bank balance, a fast-paced job and fast-paced lifestyle; the boys that this was not your average woman's car...
Peugeot 206 CC: A girl's car, by universal agreement. The boys liked the idea of a girl in one of these. Oh yes.
BMW X5: Too much of a pose? Too posey for the girls. The guys thought that it was either a woman's car for family use - and she was married - or that it would be her father's, and she'd be too young.
smart: A fun car - but not sexy, to the boys (apart from one enthusiast). The girls didn't find it sexy, either, and the lack of space was thought to be a definite disadvantage.
Ferrari 328 GTS: the classic red sports car. Screaming for attention - and any red-blooded male would be attracted to a woman with one of these, apparently, though it could be the car of a, shall we say, more mature lady. The girls thought a Ferrari might belong to an egotistical jerk...
So if you're still looking for Mr. or Mrs. Right... in the end, the BMW X5 was voted the most appealing by our participants. Age - and marital status - might not be an issue.
