Water Spray. How and when do I use it? :-)
#1
Picked up my Sti WRX this morning, WOW what a car.
Being reading the manual and no mention of the water spray.
Can any one elaborate on this button as to what it does and when do I use it?
Cheers,
Dave (Big smiley grin all day)

Driver controlled water spray is used to further lower the intake air temperature under "extreme conditions." i.e. flooring it from a standing start, where the airflow through the intercooler is at minimum.
Hope that helps.

I just ran in and said Hello to her.
Like a big kid at the moment.
She will be the same in two weeks as she ordered her new Honda CRV last week.
I dunno and its her birthday next friday, rang up and asked honda what I could buy her for it for her birthday, his reply was Not much she has nearly ordered all the extra's.
Ohwell, have to think of summin else.
I take it from the reply earlier then that when I need more power I push that there button, do I hold it down or is it on a timer?

Hmmmm...that's fairly expensive....
A bonnet is a difficult panel to make, remembering it has double skinning underneath, and aluminium is more difficult to work than steel.

PS - MY01 bonnets, being ally, should NEVER be pushed shut - they will dent - they should be dropped from about 12" height......after making sure there are no tools under the bonnet

Seem to have hijacked this thread pps:
Going back to the original question: I have no idea if you hold the spray down or not. Best idea would be to go and do some of your own tests
