It explains it nicely in the handbook but basically it works when the doors are opened and the car is running, it registers this and then becomes active, hence it will give you a warning and stop the car further down the road.

I think you get in and punch in a code and then drive off. If when you are getting in somebody grabs you from the motor before you have put in the code or takes the keys from the house, the car will run but once it reaches a certain speed or revs it then cuts out. Not 100 percent though.

Thats pretty much how it works, but if you have the rest of the clifford alarm, that normally comes with auto door locks
Best for if someone breaks into your house for the cars (hopefully not!) as it will kick in then also (a fair distance down the road )

I think the doors lock once you are inside the car so you cant be pulled out the car. Again i would check with somebody who has it to make sure this is correct.

got it on mine....i basically have to press a secret button as soon as i start up the car. if i dont then after about 100 yards it starts chirping at me, getting louder and louder untill eventually the car will just cut out...

if im driving and stop at lights, there is no problem, but if the door is opened, then the chirping will start again if the button isnt pressed....

doors dont lock or anything, just the car will cut out untill said button is pressed.....

Having previously researched the Blackjax, I have read that it may effect your insurance as the Blackjax is NOT thatchum approved, so best check with your insurance company before fitting. If im wrong please dont slate me too much

Yes I believe so, I have it on my car and it works separate from the standard alarm which I have retained.

The device is wired into the ignition feed and starter motor supply. The unit is buried deep in the dash, so as to deter would be thieves from an easy fix. The device has a button( coded) or hidden switch, so you can deactivate it. When your car is hijacked the blackjax will allow the car to drive a few hundred yards at most and begin to chirp, unless you deactivate it at this point the car will stall shortly afterwards. There is a siren which I had fitted in the cabin, it was so loud that you couldnt stay in the car for more than a few seconds before it hurts your ears. Indicators flash aswell once activated.

No you are right mate. The very fact that they can just cut out is considered dangerous. Happened to me a couple of times and it was a little scary

got it fitted to mine if i forget to punch in the code it does chirp at me about 20 secs down the road and it flashes the brake lights as well then if you don't put the code in then after about another 20 secs the car cuts out and it won't start until the code is entered, if you enter the code wrongly or try and guess it it ignores all attempts for a certain amount of mins and then you can try again. the thing is when your trying to guess the code there is a siren blaring away in the normal clifford fashion so whoever took it won't want to stay there with that going.
police find it contact you you go down there with the spare set of keys input the correct code and it all turns off and you can start the car it's a very good system imho

does having blackjaxx make having a tracker useless, as far as i can see if i have blackjaxx then the tracker is only any use if the car is lifted onto a low loader and driven away

Fits a similar system to blackjax, I'll pm him your moby, he's on from Glossop and will probably do it on your doorstep.
