It happened to me yesterday and i'm slowly recovering!

Same thing happened to me but someone stopped me just before i ripped it off,it was just pulled up at a nasty angle had to get 4 people to sit in the boot to lift the spoiler clear of the kerb.I now allways reverse up to a kerb.

coming out of a petrol station, heard this awful scraping sound as the car went across the road gutter; had a look and found there were two large U bolts just under the front spoiler, now less a bit of paint underneath, but saved the spoiler (oh, and yes, the car has been lowered 
)
