Default desperately need help BOOST!!!

my car is leaking boost somewhere but i dont know where!
i have bought a new dump valve and a second hand boost solenoid and yet i still have the same problem! i really dont know what it could be and i dont want to have to take it to a garage which will cost me hundreds of pounds!!!!
my boost guage says its max at 0.5bar and the people at dsa reckon it should be at least .8-0.9bar.
any help is much appreciated.
cheers

have you checked all your pipes, gussing around the turbo area would be best place to start,

all it takes is a pin hole or if its split where the clips are

maybe, like I suggested you could take the intercooler off for starters

where are you in the country? I'd happily take a look over it (I'm in Kent)

0.5 bar sounds like wastegate pressure. I had exactly the same problem and there is a 'pill' in the wastegate hoses (3-4mm vacuum hose) that was missing on mine. That refitted and the faulty boost solenoid replaced and I was cooking on 1 bar or gas again.

I had no fault codes and subaru couldn't identify the problem.

Whereabouts in Bucks are you because I can recommend a good and cheap garage in Rickmansworth, just depends where in Bucks you are.

Another thing you could do is search on here for solenoid pipework and make sure it's plumbed in correctly. You need to read old posts on here, study the pics and make sure yours is right.

Have a search for ecu error check too.
