Black Subaru Impreza WRX STi UK Type Prodrive Style
#6
I have just ordered a WRX Sti Type UK Prodrive Style in black - so I hope it comes in black!!!
Apparently it is also possible to get the car in silver or white (Special Order).
Must admit, as of yet I still have not seen a black Sti Prodrive!
Anyone?

The Prodrive Style IS available in blue black mica - but there aren't many of them - which is why I ordered one. Of course, once I transfer the personal plate, it will still look like my WRX to the uninitiated
IIRC, the silver and white are special order only, and are only available on the non Prodrive version.

Dave,
I would be intrested in seeing some pics of your car when you get it. When are you expecting delievery? I've got to wait until at least early april! - Suppose I'll just have to make do with my MY98 till then.
P.S. What do you think about gold wheels on a black car?

Hoping for delivery in two or three weeks....but it might just be that - would be nice if I was given at least an approximate date in exchange for my £1000 (well, £2000 actually).
What do I think of gold wheels on a blue black mica car? - exactly what I currently have!

Sounds to me, your in the same position as me! They've got my money and I have no clue of a date. When did you place your order?
My only concern on blue black mica and gold wheels is it looking like the old JPS F1 Cars!
I must admit, im not buying it for its looks - it drives like no other impreza i've ever been in. And with a few tweaks it wont be long till its eating P1's alive!

Viper - Of course, everyone has his or her own opinion. I’m basing my opinion on the fact that the P1 in today’s world, would not be sold in this country because of emission legalisations.
Subaru used a loophole in our laws to get it sold in our country in the first place.
Basically in comparison the P1 is a dirtier (emisions) car then the new WRX STi - this has been achieved by adding restrictions to the WRX STi, which I’m sure can be removed to make the car just as dirty and quick as the P1.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the P1 - its styling is better then WRX STi (in my opinion!) but I think the WRX STi may have the edge especialy with a 6 speed box!
We will see....

Dave T-S, gold wheels look fabulous in any blue or black and even green mica. In fact they look okay on a silver car. I would draw the line at bright red.

U2Slow,
There is the small matter of the 200Kgs of lard that the STi7 carries over the P1.
Not saying one is better than the other, I've driven neither, but just pointing it out
Personally, I think the STi7 will be great with a decat, and Subaru have priced it sensibly, so may be in a year or so
Enjoy
Tim

Thank you for your advice on gold wheels, however, as you will see, we already have them on both our WRX's.
Oh, and sorry, one of them is red. No accounting for taste, eh?
