This is because the middle east want to get into formula 1. Now is the time to buy up whatever they want.
They went into horse racing a few decades back and cleaned up there, they got into investments and cleaning up there, getting into sports and soon to clean up there, got into hotels and housing and cleaning up there and next formula 1......

Same investor that backed him in buying Aston from Ford.
The cynical amongst us would say that times can't be easy for any luxury car seller right now so deals are being done as a result of the fact that any continued support is extremely valuable in these hard times.
Good news either way if it ensures survival of Aston & prodrive.
F1 off the menu for the forseeable future

Those in the know think it may have something to do with Dave's personal life, or rather Mrs Richards' pay-off though of course there is absolutely no truth whatsoever under any circumstances that their marriage is going the way of Madonna and Guy's, oh, no, no, no, not at all, they are very happily married . . . . . honest!
