Default Some help pls....

Hi. I'm BRAND new to forum and just purchased my 97 WRX. I need some help on which airflow meter i should be buying as beleive its on its last legs (intermitant dropping of boost)

The thing is I "think" someone has previously fitted an STi air flow meter. Does it matter mine is just a WRX?? Is this why it could be faulty?? Hopefully some scooby god out there will help a rookie... !!

Part number on AFM fitted to my 97 WRX is:

'22680 AA271 A36-612 R71'

Is this an STi part? Does anyone know what these numbers actually represent?

A genuine part is about £300 and could get one a third the price if i knew what part number i need...

Can anyone help....Who can save me a few quid....
Cheers. Andy

Andy,

The part number of your meter is "22680AA271"

To be sure if it's the right meter for your car I would have to look it up on the Subaru Parts Program, to do this I would need your VIN Number.

If you don't know your Vin no. then It's usually possible to obtain that from your Reg no:

Phil

Yup 22680AA271 is the correct part for your car.

As far as I'm aware, these are not available from a factors are only available from a Dealer or Specialist & I'm afraid they are v. expensive.

OK pal, thanks for the speedy response. I will keep my eyes peeled for one on ebay before i commit to the expensive option. Cheers
