HKS are not made from stainless steel they have a protective coating on them.Depends on what you mean by good though the Blitz is expensive and noisy (especially with a decat) but the build quality is very good.
Can't help with the Greddy exhaust.
If you're looking for a new exhaust at a fraction of the cost Hayward & Scott are meant to be good and Revolution (i've got 1 it was cheap but good quality and not very noisy)

if you had caught me a week ago mate i could have sorted you out a full decat system for your classic scoob off my wrx that is dieing a horrible death from engine knock.

ninja backbox coupled to afterburner decat centre and decat downpipe. not the loudest, but christ for the money well worth a punt, even second hand big phella

HKS isn't full stainless, which is reflected in it's cheaper price. You can get cheaper and better quality though. I wouldn't have anything other than full stainless.

Indeed, as you say HKS is aluminized mild steel.
This does have advantages though.
1. Not as noisy through the walls of the system.
2. Less likely to crack.
HKS quality is superb and mine is anything to go by (30k miles, hard use) it still looks like new with no signs of deteriation.
