Just hold the revs at 3k 4k 5k and listen to the bottom end and make sure there are No rattles! Also sniff the engine oil and make sure its NOT gear oil and is indeed engine oil! (Gear oil is used to hide noises!)
Make sure the clutch is up to the job to by driving in 4th gear at low revs then load the engine up to high revs as long as possible!
Usal water test make sure its not losing water and also check there is no oil in the water!
When coming on boost look out the rear of the car towards the exhaust and make sure there is no or little smoke!
Check Vin plates with log book!
Look at the front of the log book and make sure it don't says its a cat C or D right off!
Hope this helps!
