Standard practice to be honest, RCMS is the same if not more expensive. Great service though.

If it were me and knowing it was just a tiny item, I would have rung the order through and checked the postage.

Paid a little over £13 for next day delivery on a FMIC. You'd probably find you could order a few more bits and bobs and still pay £5 delivery. Just be a minimum delivery cost with labour for packing. I agree that it doesn't work all the time when you only want a small low cost item.

I'd say a fiver is reasonable? take into account postage and packing, is the parcel recordable or trackable? this adds to the cost.

Why get one by mail order?
Surely easier to nip down your local exhaust place/Scooby dealer and buy one over the counter for a few quid.

Not many people would order just a gasket and the website probably isn't able to discriminate, I bet if you rang them they would send it cheaper.

Hi

To be honest that looks like a glitch on the website - I'll look into it. We have two ways of sending items - courier (which starts at £5 for small but valuable items and goes to £20 for large boxes i.e. spoilers) and post, which is based on weight plus cost of jiffy bag, so for a gasket should be around £2.50 for 1st class. It sounds like the gasket is listed on the website as a 'courier' item, which it shouldnt be.

Best idea is to give us a call on 01509 266 400 and we'll take your order over the phone until we sort this out.

Or just pop down and collect from our shop, we'll even fit it for you!

Neil

I would hope they'd use a small box, or a least a reinforced envelope. Last thing you'd want is your postie to fold it up to shove it though you letterbox!!

good to hear we're getting it right folks - you wouldnt believe how manic it is at the moment, and glad we've got a great team who do 110% every day to make sure orders go out, quotes get done, cars get serviced and phones get answered. We dont get it right everytime, but we're not far off
