Default Car mods......

was having a discusion with a few friends and i said that the older you get the more expensive the car and mods seem to be.

some agreed some disagreed what do you guys think?

I mean i had a fiesta turbo which was cheap to buy and mod then i moved on to the scoob as i wanted a quicker car and of course it was more expensive and the mods are more expensive. plus i think after a few years modding you know what to do and what makes to go for!

I think as you get older, your choice in modifications changes.

ie: You're less likely to bolt on any old turbo/exhaust... you'll save up and put on a proven system which will not make the car go pop after 2000 miles

The car will be more expensive because you can afford to buy a more expensive car and mods, well its similar, a better car will be more expensive to run, for example a complete exhaust from garage x for the RS turbo could be 100 quid, for the scoob it could be 200 quid.
Brake discs are a nice example though for a Fiesta RST they are what? 100 quid for a set of something decent? for the scoob they are 400 quid for a pair (fronts), but then again, they probably stop the car a fair bit quicker

Also mods will cost more because your buying new and not second hand, where as it probably was cheaper to get x power out of the rst, you can get y power out of the scoob, but thats 160bhp v 350bhp
