Hi Guys is there anyone out there who can help me with this problem???

I have a 1998 Subaru 2.0Turbo Wagon and, have, touch wood, never had any problems with it, however in the past few weeks everytime i switch my my dip beam on, the full beam comes on complete with blue light on dash. I have invested in a new left sided indicator stalk from subaru and it seemed to stop the problem but its now resurfaced. When i switch them on they might be working then all of a sudden come on as and when, then when i switch them back to side lights and back to dip the full beam stays on, so would anyone know whether this is a loose connection or a more serious problem.
