Default 400 Bhp Classic running gear

I'm thinking about a track car for next year...

If you put a built 2.0 in a classic with the 6 speed newage gearbox, how would the driveshafts etc cope with that kind of power? Would the 6 speed box even last?

It would be driven with mechanical sympathy, even on track.

The 6 speeds are strong enough for a good 450-500lbs torque, maybe even a little more than that so no issues there

Mine hasn't managed 400 bhp (YET !), but the only thing letting the side down is the standard 41,000 mile old clutch.... at about 50% more torque than standard. No surprise there then.
