Default New shocks

Hi guys im after changing my dreaded subaru suspension as mine has incured the inevitable knocking. Ive been looking at the kyb ultra sr, can anyone tell me if these are any good, and could i use my standard STI springs or would I need new ones? Also do i need a fitting kit to put them on or will they just bolt straight on no problem? Thanks guys

I have read on here that they are a straight swap.

kyb is what are on the sti from factory, so its debatable wether their any good , your springs should fit on if you get the right set not sure which that is though

Are you replacing all 4 mate?

I replaced all 4 of mine on my 02 STI,

only difference between Subaru ones and KYB ones is the colour... Subaru=pink/red and KYB = Gold

As you would guess they are absolutely identical to the originals.....

Graham Walker Ltd

this is a good place to get them from if you do want them, but my thinking is why would you buy the same ones that more often than not start knocking and why can't they stop this .

Bren is still doing full coilovers at £549 inc vat, 32 way adjustable too. i didn't really want to buy coilovers but for an extra 100 notes and have done with the kyb it turned into a no brainer.

I looked everywhere on the net for not just the cheapest but the best options and i couldn't find anything to match Brens deal.

HTH
