Default do subaru's attract plonkers?

why o why is it that some young lads have to prove how big there bolloxs are by driving like loons?

was comming home this afternoon along a stretch of twist roads, dual lanes but with a lane hatched over. sat in a line of traffic and next thing i know a clio v6 comes flying past using the hatching as an overtaking lane.

i got past that bit and overtook the car infront of me and headed on down the road, and guess who i tootle up behind, yep the v6 stuck 50 yards down the bleedin road.

guessing he was gonna play i though why not and when we came to the next stretch of dual carrageway i stayed behind him, moved over to start to go past and he promptly dived for the exit slip road.

guess he doesn't like to proved to not be driving the fastest car on the road and only like to play when its dangerous to do so

I live in Hastings East sussex. You cant move for chavs in clasics. Nothing against the clasic but the early imports are so cheap now. They keep the local police happy though

All he did was as you put 'act like a plonker' overtaking on hatched markings but it was you who thought 'ooooh he might be up for a play' which he promptly disproved by pulling off at the slip road.

Hatchings mean diddly squat, a friend of mine was hit by a car whilst stood in one, and the police didn't want to know....

She was alright (not seriously injured) by the way !

DunxC

P.S. Just 'cos he turned off doesn't make him chicken, he may just live there ?

I had a 'young lad trying to prove bollock size' incident yesterday,

Car full of young lads tailed me through town. Could make out it was mk5 escort, About 5 up. It was right up my boot from the lights. So i thought, i'll nail it, Show him he's no match for an RA. Got up to the speed limit (60) with the said car now some way off, so i settled down and carried on. The next thing i know, the idiot is on the wrong side of the road overtaking me on a bend

I wasn't about to get involved with someone that has no regard for his, or his passengers lives.

And the sad fact is, he probably braggs to his mates, he 'did' a scooby.

'From a young lad that has no need to prove anything'

you are allowed to drive across the white hatch lines if need as long as the lines around them are broken white lines not solid

Yeh, the first night i got my type R home i went for a wee tootle about, just to get used to the car a bit. On my way home some tool in a glanza turbo kept accelerating up my bumper, backing off, accelerating and so on. Was utterly retarded so i pulled over let him go by and gave the wee baseball cap wearing halfwit the fingers.

Sometimes it takes the bigger bollocks to pull over and let these bellends go on their way

Have you not considered he was already exiting the carriageway ??? Just cause he was driving fast it does not mean it had anything to do with your impreza ??? Lots of people drive fast and there isn't an impreza in sight

To be honest from the way you have described this scene ?? You sound like the person who doesn't like to be proved he is not driving the fastest car ?? The Clio V6 seems like he didn't want to wait in an unnecessary traffic queue ?? You then decided to prove who has the bigger dick when it came to a dual carriage way ??? Correct me if I'm wrong ???

i love my scoob, people drive today with...lets be honest about this.... no regards at all, it doesnt have to be a scoob before some **** i up ur *** or indeed taking over at ridiculous points...the only reason that scoobs come to mention is the fact that they are noticed alot more than the average bmw for eample etc...

Sad fact is, if you drive any sort of motor with any sort of performance, you are going to attract the unwanted attention of the chav in the corsa or worse the chav in a bmw, which although limited is still a quick motor, which makes them a dangerous type of driver to take on, because when he runs out of skill, but still has a bit left in the motor he will undoubtedly go for it, and when the skill runs out he will kill someone, but he will at least be able to brag ,"he beat a scoob" The w*****.

I get it alot in milton keynes on the way to and from work.

Bloody boy racers in there saxo's, corsa, fiesta's etc, You know the kind.

They do them up so they look like they shoud go like **** off a shovel but dont pmsl.
They fit a big exhaust etc and then think they have a high performance motor.

What is it with them?

They try and race you cos they have their mates or girl friend in their cars but dont stand a chance.

Ive got nothing to prove and dont want to risk my car, my licence and other road users and use my fuel to race ***** like that.

What i dont understand is they know how fast subarus are and they dont in most cases stand a chance, SO WHY OH WHY do they think they stand a chance.

makes me laugh.

What my missus loves about subarus is they dont have anything to prove.

If they want to risk everything including their lives, Just let them get on with it. We dont need to race them or prove anything.

IMO, unless you know the road and trust the person in the other car I wouldn't bother. I did when I first got my Impreza and after watching someone in front of me clearly drive beyond their limits I felt probably best left well alone.

Some not all but some young lads are accidents waiting to happen. Probably best not to join them.

Having said that the only time I ever really got shafted was when I was about to come onto a dual carriageway with what I thought was an MR2 up my chuff.

I floored and the car behind did too. Once past and I realised it was a Honda NSX I felt such a tool.

I think there i one or two that are at fault rather than the chav's ( never thought id say that) if you show em how fast yours is them by flooring it don't be surpised when they take risks to beat you as they well and truly know they won't do you in a straight line !!! the old sayin goes takes two to tango !!! .As said pull over and let them past i used to get this in my old wagon as soon as i would leave my house id have a car on my bloody *** !!! .

well i had a play with a very big and powerful merc last night, we got to some silly speeds for the conditions and no one was gaining anything so i backed off and let him carry on down the road at his silly speed.

i could of crried on and eded up flipside ina field i suppose but what would the point be.
