Hi.

I've got a bailey dump valve for sale off my old my03 wrx if you interested???
I bought that from demon tweeks.

With regards the dents. I got a guy from Bromborough to do mine, and it was good. He was called Ian and had a business partner called Mark I think. Only charged £50 and was there about two hours. I can't find his number though. Best of luck.

For cheap noise just disconnect the rturn pipe from yours and block it leaving it open to atmosphere, you'll soon decide you don't like it and refit it!

FYI a VTA 'dump valve' is not a tuning goody.

Dump valves (VTA) have no performance improvement, only noise!

Yes many do have them and live with the lumpy tick over, jerky gear changes, higher fuel consumption and chavy sound but each to there own

The best mod I did to my car was removing the VTA totally different car to drive

If my cars been mapped with a SSQV Dump Valve, is it ok to put the standard one back on, or will anything need to be done with the map?? (previous owner passed on the original dump valve).

Car runs fine, wouldn't mind trying the original one to compare if it's just a simple job of swapping them over??

hi guys,

how does having the OE re-circ valve improve the drive of the car???

i currently have a blitz VTA dump valve - Its been fitted the whole time i have had the car.

i must admit to liking the sound and i'm perefctly aware of its down sides i.e. marginly higher fuel consumption and no peformance gain what so ever....the only bit i wasn't aware of was that it hampers performance and to what effect.

can some please explain how fitting the standard re-circ valve will improve performance.

the only logical thing i can think of that if the charge air is not being released then the throttle respons may be improved but at the same time would the charge air not cause the turbo to slow down/work a bit harder as it will now be pushing against a closed circuit.

i'm generally interested as i don't know the answers and as much i quite like the noise especially as it is pretty quiet on my car (compared to some any way) at the end of the day i love driving it and i could soon get used to not having the noise if the drive is a lot better
