This is a total shot in the dark 'cos I'm not sure what medical representation there is on scoobynet. Is anyone going to the Advanced Trauma Life Support course held in February at Silverstone ???????? It'd be good to put face to name so to speak if anyone is !

I already have my ATLS so I'm not going I'm afraid.
Are you revalidating or doing it for the first time?
If it is your first time be prepared for an intense course. Read the manual from cover to cover before you go and be prepared for the simulation to be more stressful than the real thing. If you get stuck after ABC just keep reassessing, they seem to like that!

Doc,
I'm doing it for the first time
I've scanned through the manual once & I'm reading it again. I did the ACLS course some years ago & that was pretty intense... This course is in conjunction with Jordan F1 !Really want to get it - I've got a job lined up at Knockhill race circuit at weekends....and then I can take my P1 out for free (?) !

I did the ATLS course in June last year (Crosshouse Hospital). I didn't even look at the manual before the course started and still passed. Definitely worthwhile and good fun and you can learn the manual as the course goes on (obviously).

Neil Pride's been recruiting then?
Good luck with the course and look forward to seeing you at Knockhill (you'll recognise me - I'll be the one in the orange suit )
