Evo mag pits the 22b against the 330S
Similar power to weight (22b = 221bhp/ton and 330S = 219bhp/ton), but as expected they would rather have the 22b. Looks like the lack of steering feel lets it down big time. They conclude the £4.5k premium would have been better spent on Prodrive improving the chassis rather than more power, sat nav and starter button.
On a positive note they did say they think its the best looking newage impreza to date especially in black. 22b got 4.5 stars and the 330S got 4.

Just read it, have to agree dont like the wheels on the 330s, but black seems to suit the shape.
Noticed Evo have got the years wrong for the bug, blob and hawkeye !

Agreed. Shame it didn't do anything in the WRC or it would have been the true classic Impreza.
Don't get me wrong, I love the classic but it's dated and after IMHO a few years of losing their way a bit they came back with the Hawkeye which is what they should have done straight after the classic in an ideal world.
The new one is a fitting Impreza in the metrosexual age we now live in
Special edition classic or hawkeye STi/special edition for me.

Well having replaced my MY05 for a MY08 WRX I'm not missing my MY05 the looks have definitely grown on me and I actually think the old saloon models are starting to look dated and of course in a few years time people will have to consider the new shape if they want a subaru or something 4 wheel drive for the money as they won't be able to get an old one.

If I remember correctly the 'crock of ****' comment was made on the MY08 STI thread that you posted the link to the Guide dogs for the blind website.

LOL, I'm having a De Ja Vue, these new Vs old threads are almost identical to the Type r forum a year ago and the evo forums, i'll even stick my neck out and say it'll be exactly the same in 5 years when the current model gets replaced!
All we need now is a JDM Vs UKDM thread, there must be one here somewhere....
