After much deliberating, the dirty deed was finally done.

My car is now a boggo std STI V.

After 2 years of trying different things, getting my fingers burnt and trying again till it works, I've come to an end. I have to sell the car (apparently much to my former business "partner's" delight) due to finances.

Is a bit of a shame, 'cos despite certain peoples/companies snide remarks - amazing how quick blinkered people are to put you down - I very very nearly got the end result I wanted. Wanted 300hp @ wheels, very best I got was 290 @ wheels - this was with with dodgy fuelling. I always wanted to try diffent things to see what worked and what didn't and I think it's safe to say I can comment quite objectively on different tuning methods and what did and didn't work.

The fact that no 2litre Impreza in the UK has even come close to the figures I eventually produced consistantly is proof of this.

I'm not getting another Scoob - after 5 years I've had enough. If you do something wrong people knock you, if you do something well, peope knock you. You can't win and it's the reason the UK Scoob tuning scene is so backward - full of doubters and people unwilling to try anything to push the boundaries - "in general".

I hope the people I took out on the countless trackdays enjoyed the ride.

It's a shame it was only ever 95% finished.

Damn shame

craig,

seen your car in the mags, must admit you achieved rather good figures (bhp,0-60 etc),its a pity that certain people have soured your view on impreza ownership but i think the figures speak for themselves.what are you buying next ?

I said it before and I'll say it again

That was one quick Scoob Having been round Donno and some country roads in this car, I can safely say it's by far the quickest Scoob I've ever had the privalidge to go in, such a shame they'll be no more entertaining "Donno Moments"

Anyway Craig, here's to the next chapter in the Hardman Performance Car saga

Craigh, that's a shame but it sounds like the stress of just doing all this was immense - you're right, something is wrong...

I do fondly remember that Donno session. Matt, and others, were saying you were clipping that post, and you were insisting that you weren't...

...then the video clip came out. Absolutely priceless

Shame I never got a ride in it, but I hope that others will pick up on what you've started and try pushing the envelope. In general, we do seem pretty keen to knock people when they 'ck up, so perhaps that's why people are sitting well in the "comfort zone"?

Good luck with what you do next, and don't let 'em get you down.

Nick.

So long craig - scooby ownership is always good for the first 3 years - then the excitement wears a little thin unless you attempt what you did - and your car was so nearly done

Oh well - I'm sure you will be back all be it with a slightly more nippy motor very soon

Engine tuning is never meant to be conservative - if it doesn't blow up at least once then you ain't trying hard enough (sounds like a famous quote - but unfortunately just my own words).

Best speak to Harj about New Age Motorsport.

He is the only director, when both me and craig signed the correct forms, and yet these weren't taken to companies house.

I trust people are going to the ring.

NA Motorsport Starts trading as of monday, under NF Europe LTD.

I see

Actually you can't have a company with only one director. You need at least two, of which one must also be company secretary. I don't know if this helps you or not.

Yeah, so he was also appointed his Wife as secretary, with out us knowing.

He is a trusting fellow, she did quit tho, thus making the company illegal.

Clever chap.

Carl,

A company needs to have at least 1 director and a company secretary. The co.sec can also be a director but not the sole director.

Hmm. I presume then you're not entitled to a cent of the profits (I also assume you two aren't shareholders in NAM)? IANAL, but I would assume that the only thing you can do is report it to the police and hope they instigate criminal proceedings along the lines of 'obtaining monies by deception' or something. If you're not a shareholder there's no civil action you can take to recover the money as you're not entitled to it.

E-mail me if you need any help (I only know a bit about these things), but you'll know better next time (send the forms yourself, or get your accountant to do it, and make sure you get the share certificates or whatever the form with the directors' names on it is back from Companies House).

devils_ad -- you're right, of course. I couldn't remember it off the top of my head, but the point is you need at least two people.

Tough one about the profit.

We were down as employee's yet no PAYE had been sorted, and we haven't been paid.

The relevant people have been informed.
