What power mods would you recommend for my 97 STI?

What power mods would you recommend for my 97 STI?
Doesn't look like its going anywhere at the moment, so might aswell enjoy it to its full potential (within reasonable limits with the cash)
Just want to know what my options are, its basically standard apart from a 98 STI RA engine and VF34 turbo along with a Decat & Green Air Filter. Think thats about it at the moment.
What are my mapping options? Is only an Apexi Power FC?
What boost can I run safely as I have a Blitz boost controller knocking about. Although I may Piston number 3 suffers from fuel starvation a while ago if you wack up the boost without having it mapped correctly?
I did go to get it on the rollers last weekend but it's to low, so need to adjust the springs if I can. I was told Tein springs are adjustable, but will have to look into that.
Bit stuck with what should be my next move really.
