Paint splashes on bodywork
Hi,
father-in-law's painted his fence with my Scooby parked on the other side.
Unfortunately the combination of the wind and small spaces in the fence has resulted in sh*t loads of small paint specs of the fence paint (Cuprinol and the sort) all over the car!
It's smooth to the touch and hasn't left a raised surface and as yet I've not tried anything!
I'm gutted and don't know what to do - any suggestions?
HELP!!!! I feel sick to the stomach - especially as I'm due to take it for an engine rebuild tomorrow!!!

Aye, it's not hard to use fella.
Basically in a kit you should get the bar itself (sometimes 2), lubricant and a microfibre cloth. Pretty simple to use.
When I bought a clay bar kit (Meguiars kwik clay) from Halfords, I did the following...

When I bought a clay bar kit (Meguiars kwik clay) from Halfords, I did the following...
- Soak the clay bar in a bowl of warm water to soften it (5 mins)
- Made sure the car was washed
- Spray plenty of lube onto say a 18"x18" size square
- Squish the clay bar into like a square biscuit shape
- Rub forwards and backwards making sure the area is lubed
- You should notice tar/grime and the paint etc. come off after a few rubs
- When the surface of the paintwork feels like glass, wipe off excess lube with microfibre
- Repeat on whole car
