Default bonnet vent

hi there plp, i have a 97 scooby v4 sti. i have noticed that on the newer scoobies the have a biggern bonnet vent? do these fit on the classic shape? if so which version do i get it off? thanks guys

You can get a New Age '04 STI look-a-like scoop, but they look sh*te: too angular for the Classic.

theres 1 in the members gallery wanting a photoshop, its red an has the later scoop on it, looks quite nice + looks bigger diameter so should allow more air flow?? ive also read about putting an sti8 top mount on? will this give any gains? cheer for the reply mate

bigger bonnet vent dont suit classics, they look terrible thats my opinion

I agree,the bigger square vents don't suit the classics.

Fitting a New Age top mount can be done but its a huge PITA for most Classics; and still a big PITA on the later phase 1.5 engined cars.

Agree, newage scoops just don't suit the curvier classic bonnet shape.

If your looking for a bigger scoop mate, try this one...

but doo improve air flow going in i believe
as over 100 mph the air goes right over the standard scoop
dont quote me on that!
