Are these genuine?
SUBARU IMPREZA WRX TURBO MINTEX BRAKE PADS 2000> on eBay, also, Subaru, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 05-Nov-08 11:56:17 GMT)
Seems a huge price difference here
SUBARU IMPREZA WRX BRAKE MINTEX RACING FRONT PADS M1144 on eBay, also Brake Components, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 12-Oct-08 20:33:22 BST)

I saw them when looking for new pads. They may well be made by Mintex, but I doubt that they are anything like M1144 compound. More likely to be some boggo standard stuff suitable for 'normal' cars.
Needless to say, I didn't buy them. Depends how good you want your brakes to be. I didn't want them any worse than standard. (Not saying they are worse, just didn't want to risk it!)

ebc redstuff seem to be disliked by everyone.
The best are Ferodo DS2500 or Pagids, but you're looking at around £150.
I went for Black Diamond Fast Track (cost under £70) which are much better than std, but do seem more dusty. I've only done a few hundred miles, though.
Mintex are said to be very dusty too.
