Default Classic wing mirrors.

Can anyone tell me if all classic wing mirrors are the same please?

the problem i've got is i've bought a new wing mirror glass to replace the one someone kindly broke for me, of ebay. told the guy its for a 1995 and i wanted left side, got mirror and it would not fit. so sent mirror back with a template and guy says they don't do my shape glass and refunds money.
so back on to ebay i go to another shop this time. ask if he has a mirror that will fit are's. say's yes not a problem. mirror came today and won't fit.

i have a 1995 classic wrx with a facelift front end.

anyone any ideas?

yes there is a difference as i found out i believe there are 2 types the folding ones are still the same other than the fold away fact.i have a facelift bought them as a facelift and when they arrived they are pre facelift.the guy wasnt to know as they had both been put on at the same time so never stood out.also as you only got the glass im assuming that you have removed all your old mirror glass?i found that the glass you can buy is not bent to fit it is a pure flat sheet of glass.is this the problem you have or is it just the shape?i contacted subaru for a glass guess what, they dont sell it only a complete mirror at i think was £137 + vat,so i would stick it out on ebay for one to come up if you can wait.

Or look in general for sale seems to be lots of classics getting stripped at the mo. Good luck.

The problem is the shape of the glass. you can get it fixed right on 3 sides of the plate and the 4th side it's about 2-3 mm to big.

i think i'm just going to have to buy some second hand mirrors from breakers or some where similiar.
