Damn & blast
Still never mind, the karting will still be fun
& the people from Jordan better watch out cause they'll have a dozen or so Scooby drivers in karts trying to show their appreciation
Could we have the tour some other date instead?
Matt

That's a shame....never mind I'm sure that Richard has done all he can ....
I assume that there are new sponsors and they are afraid that we'll leak who they are before the offical launch of the car. Like I said understandable.....
Richard, I assume that you have some form of shop so we can all stock up on our Jordan goodies ?
Cheers
Jeff

Thats a shame Richard, as Matt said maybe another time? Still should be a good afternoon/evening anyway
Marketing people, I don't know
If Mr Habgood has no objections then NM and I thought maybe "Team Norfolk Ingood" for us?
Cheers! Sean

Damn
Just think of all those extra Jordan fans the tour would have made, I think i'll go and support another team instead.
Marketing huh, can't live with em, can't shoot em
Thanks for trying though

Oh bu99er
Never mind - another time perhaps? I'm still really looking forward to the day
Thanks for trying Richard Just a thought but if details/piccies of the new sponsors livery were to be leaked to the press prior to our visit it wouldn't be worth them keeping it a secret would it??? Then we could still get our tour....
Obviously I realise you couldn't do this Richard being far too ethical and honest a chap

Or how about Norfolk Enchants?
Thanks for the support everyone, very sorry to disappoint you all. I will definitely have another go at organising a trip in a couple of months time, and this time I'll make sure it won't coincide with anything else! Also, that way we'll be able to get a fuller and longer tour for everyone, so it's possibly a blessing in disguise. Doesn't feel like it at the moment though .
There isn't actually a Jordan shop, as Jordan doesn't have visitors normally! Everything's available online (www.f1jordan.com) but I know that's not the same. I'll talk to the marketing guys and see if I can get something arranged, like maybe 10% off on the day or something. We should be able to arrange free car stickers and stuff without problem.

Thats a real shame, I was really looking forward to the tour
Nevermind, as said before another time perhaps?
BTW about all this competative banter - our team will win the wooden spoon no probs in fact my team has novices of Olympic standards LOL
Judging by the weather make that Winter Olympic standard
Justin - 'waddya mean you have to use your LEFT foot to brake? now they tell me!'

Ok, after this morning's disappointing news, it's nice to bring some good news!
I've secured some Jordan goodies... some promotional posters, booklets, some stickers, and a few copies of a previous issue of 'J' magazine which people can help themselves to. No pens etc as they're waiting for the 2002 stuff to come in!
The winning teams (top three) will also get the latest issue of J magazine... the top team will each also get a motorsport calendar... and the fastest lap winner will get a signed picture of the car by Jean Alesi and Jarno Trulli ! (And no danger of this being withdrawn as all of this stuff is sitting on the desk next to me )
Hope that makes things a bit better again
Cheers
Richard
ps I'll worry about what to do when the first two teams are Jordan teams on the day

It's a shame, as every other person has now paid me in full, and Paul has always seemed keen. Clearly I don't want to say anything more on the thread as that wouldn't be fair. But I'm not going to be out of pocket to the tune of nearly £40 - I've already chucked one person out for this reason... So come on, Paul, restore our faith in you!
Probably best if you call him if you know him, as I don't (yet) - cheers!

<sigh> And we can't borrow the race suits either now (for the Jordan teams) as they're needed for pit stop practice on the Sunday! Best laid plans and all that! Never mind...

Don't worry Richard
Just as long as the Jordan lot don't turn up with black helmets we'll still be able to make out who's who
Matt

There's a beautiful array of around 40 bright yellow helmets here at Jordan, having the radios plumbed in and stickers put on, ready for testing next week... shame I can't borrow one!

It turns out Paul has a very good reason not to be coming on Sunday... all the best for sorting things out for the future mate
However, in his place, we have old Siver Bonce himself - yes indeedy, Mr Stef Reader will be coming along! Wouldn't be the same without Stef mowing the grass on that final corner
Note this has meant a small shuffle around on teams, with Alto's friend (taking the place of Dave Mackey) replacing Nic, who now moves to team 16 with Stan & co. Hope this is ok

Richard,
If you visit http://www.evo.co.uk/forum/FORUM.asp...=General+Forum you might find the cat's out of the bag about the new sponsor...
{Edit. Oh, I'll hopefully be coming over for the karting to take some photo's and hang around for the food}
