Default Millers Engine oil.

Why do a lot of scooby enthusiasts make a big deal about using only millers oils? surely as long as you change it every 4000 miles any premium brand fully synthetic will do, or is there a very good reason for only using millers?

Tried a few in me classic - mobil 1 motorsport/millers/silkolene pro R ended up sticking with motul 300v 15w50.

At 15w50 motul "seems" to make mine run smoother when cold than other manufacturers at the same grade.(dont buy it to particularly protect when cold or i`d buy some thinner stuff) just seemed a noticeable difference in how mine ran over the others i`d tried.

Have no intention of using anything else now-cars been fine for the last 30,000 miles.

Mike - have a look at this as it is quite good as background reading:

Millers Oils

The oil viscosities will depend on the power you're running.

I would have thought they would have used a correct base - think it may me 10w-40 or poss 10w-50 (used for bigger horses). 10w-60's tend to be used by the race cars.
