Info: 97/98 Turbo Sensor/Valve diagrams - Subaru Impreza Forum - WRX STI Rally Performance Tuning

Found it, next question............picture is of a Non Turbo, I assume.
As the one on my car is sandwiched between the Turbo, Crank Case and the Inlet Manifold..........then how the hells do you get at the thing?
Is it easier to take the turbo off or the manifold or is there a trick to it? Anyone?

under the inlet manifold their is a cross over pipe, remove the turbo inlet pipe and the breather hose in this area and loock just under the inlet and youl see it, right nect to a 1 pin sensor (temp guage sender) you can change it without removing the turbo or the inlet manifold, just the turbo ai inlet and breather pipes.

Job done, found a split in a small hose that goes from the compression side of the Turbo to a sensor on the drivers side wing near the Ignition Amp as well. Took me 2 Hours though! 45 Min to get the plug to release from the old sensor!!! I wait to see how it runs in the morning when its chilly out side, but started up first crank of the engine just now and tick over settled down at 1500 Rpm Cold and the backed off to around 1000 Hot.
