Sports Cat doesn't replace both it's seperate section.

It'll simply replace the 1st CAT section. IIRC it's not really that important to change the up-pipe unless your running a fair amount more power than standard, sure the more technically minded will answer that correctly soon.

No need to change your up-pipe. You've already got a decat one on an STi.

The size of the Ninja is the same as the two catted sections on your std downpipe system. Just swap them for the Ninja and no other exhaust pipes are needed.

I've been wondering this for a while. The Ninja sports cat looks the same length as my standard downpipe and cat pipe put together. So I won't need to buy a mid pipe decat section, just the ninja? It would replace the lot then join to the rest of the exhaust?

justy to clarify, the Ninja downpipe with sports cats are exactly the same length as the original downpipe. So if you want to swap out your original downpipe and decat the next section too you'll need to purchase both the Ninja downpipe and our Cat pipe.

So the picture on your website isn't what you get?
Impreza Turbo 2001-2005 New Age : Subaru Impreza Ninja Downpipe with Fast Flow 100 Cell Sports Cat

That one looks like its the size of both std d/pipe sections together?

Exactly what I've been thinking. Unless the picture is misleading.

If you look here, this is the standard exhaust from an 03 WRX.

I only have the middle part on my car (middle part in the photo) ie downpipe and mid cat. See how short the downpipe is. Now in the ninja photo (below) it looks to be the same length as the standard downpipe AND mid cat together. Am I wrong?

Some help here would be appreciated as I'm a bit confused If anyone has a picture of the ninja downpipe like above from the side that my help.

To add, I forgot. The standard downpipe looks to be the same length as where I have put the red line across the photo below.

From the turbo to the red line = standard downpipe?

From the red line back = standard cat pipe?

The photo in the image shows the classic product, as at the time the studio pics were taken the New Age models were not available, hence the diagram at the bottom showing the New Age layout.

The length of the classic downpipe is several inches shorter than a new age downpipe and cat pipe together, so its not possible to use a classic downpipe to replace both new age sections.

I have a 2nd hand Ninja Sports Cat for sale - £150. It's a direct replacement for the original downpipe. Have passed all MOTs with it fitted.
