prosport gauge wiring
hi iv'e just fitted my gauges into an a pillar pod and was wondering which wire peaple connect the live and the igniton live to as well as the amber cheers j

Ive just fitted these to my car, i tapped into the wiring harness for the radio for all the connections. Red to permanant live.. Black to earth.. White to a live that come on with the ignition switch.. Orange to the illunination on the radio,(the colours are the one`s on the prosport cable not the radio harness) the gauges will go red with you turn the cars lights on when wired like this.

thats what i wanted to know as i know thw colours on the gauges just not on the car cheers . i need to connect under the dash as cable wont reach to the stereo cheers j

i had to buy a wiring adaptor to fit my radio and all the wires on the adaptor had what they were printed onto the cables which helped alot . but as i remember it its red permant live, yellow ignition live, orange for illunination and black for earth.. red and yellow might be the other way round i`ll have a look when i go out later

all wired up now did same as flib only to find that boost gauge wire had snapped where it pushes into gauge can you buy the cable seperate (got gauge 2nd hand ) cheers j

you could try emailing gaugeplace apparently he`s quite helpfull, they do a replacment sender which comes with the cable, might be worth asking if he`d just sell you the cable.

he is i spoke to him thursday about an oil sender.he told me to contact prosport usa ,as his would costover £35 and he was out of stock, theirs was $33 (£18) delivered so i have emailed them first cheers j

contacted prosport usa and the cable is £15 inc postage . bet its not that cheap in uk don't make sense cheers j

pressure gauge sensor ordered from usa on thursday night just came through letterbox thats good service (and at $33 inc postage cheap as **** ) cheers j
