what turbo's are on 03 blobeye's wrx? are there a couple of differant ones or just one and what one?

I think its a tdo4 been that one for a while, i think at some point the classics had a td05

that haas the same tiddlers as my v plate classic??
i know some early classics had TD05's

think that vf35's came on bugeyes
sure my 1997 uk turbo had a VF turbo on it!

are the two types td and vf very differant and what is the better one?

In the main VF's.

Look on search, VF28,35 etc, twin Scrolls are worth a look at also.

03 blobeye WRX came with Mitsubishi TD04 turbo..great for low down grunt but not good for top end power.......not a bad thing LOL

Mitsubishi turbo's on scoobies usually start with "TD" and then the model number.

Blobeye / Newage STi's come with an IHI Turbo..........and start with "IHI VF" and the the model number. IHI VF35 for the Blobeye

You would need a twin scroll downpipe for a twin scroll turbo
All 97 onwards UK cars except the newage STi's had a TD04 turbo including the newage WRX's
The VF series turbos were introduced on the STi 3 onwards
The TD05 turbo came on all pre 97 cars except the UK and WRX wagons
