Default STI 330S...£31,000

I'm not sure if I can see where the extra £5-6k has gone really and if it is good value or not.

Done some figures..

Buy a premium Euro 2.5 WRX STi from David Hendry with the better BBS forged wheels, add the Litchfield performance pack (355 BHP) and it comes out at £28,562 which is £2,433 cheaper than the 330S with 330 bhp and cack wheels....hmmmmmm

Or you could wait and see what the Litchfield Type 20 is priced at in the next few weeks, and will use the JDM version and the 2.0 litre engine which is stronger for tuning.

of course it is a full subaru car with warranty, and will be easier to sell on at some point than a modded sti, or a modded jdm sti, and probably cheaper to insure than any of those cars (maybe not if you have a good specialist insurer)

and hey, it is going to be quicker than a vanilla sti, and everyone will know what it 'is' etc etc

I own a UK 08 STI and I love it but dont think I'd consider paying £31K for one, even with those extra features and another 30hp. Hate the wheels, dont care about keyless entry... I just want the PPP kit for mine please.

Umm, the maths seems a bit wrong here.
A Euro spec from David Hendry is shown on their website as £28,350
The Litchfield kit is shown as £1982 + VAT

So on my calculator that comes out as £30,678.85

Now that isn't far different to £30,995 is it?

£20 k for a brand new STi, i was in the dealers last week and they want 25,995, good savings there.

Also the BBS ones are only £22k, very good IMO.

i can't believe that price for the 330s was expecting £28000-£29000 but £31'000 is a bit much and not even a good set of wheels how come the euro car comes with the BBS wheels and the 330s comes with the ****e 5 spoke been waiting for the 330s but now may go down the euro route or may even turn to the dark side ?

Still think there needs to be a 3dr version maybe even a ltd edition like 22b only a 25b then people would probably pay a high price tag

Clive, there is 3k in the seats alone (Recaros), though that is just laughable... I checked the price on japanparts as I took a liking to them before...

My money would be on a Euro 22k with Recaros and BBS... I note that neither of them have the fog lights either....

I have to admit that I quite like the WRXS (or whatever it is called), shame it doesnt come in grey, and again way overpriced... (but nice 18" wheels.. obviously Prodrive think this is the way to go...)

Cheers,

Mark

Does anyone actually pay the OTR price? Especially in the current financial enviroment? I'm certain you could get it under £30K

Still ugly as foof though

You are right about the math but you don't get the BBS wheels with the 330S, the Type 20 should be interesting to compare.

Hi Mark

You should keep your beast considering what you think you will get for it, must keep the wife away from this thread, cause if she notices that your FSTi is for sale then it could be no.4 for her...LOL

As much as it pain's me to say it it i don't think Subaru are in the same league as Mitsubishi with the New Evo X. They just seemed to have totally missed the point.

Hi Clive,

I think this is a really good deal..

new Subaru Impreza hatchback's at Motor Depot Car Supermarkets

But with the increasing tax, and not so great mpg, putting money into another Subaru money pit doesnt seem appealing at the mo..

I am wondering what will come of the diesel STI?

....special price for wifey!

Cheers,

Mark

She has just got rid of the VXR and is now driving a new style Wrangler...she changes cars more often than me and that is saying some thing!!!

drove a white 330S today, i would say that its better to buy the PPP for the standard STI hatch which is now available for around £1700 and there's a set of 19" 17 spoke rims that have just come available by Subaru as the 5 spoke wheels are hideous.

I didnt think that much of the recaro's and prefered the standard sti that was in the one i had all of last week.

The suspension felt stiffer then standard sti but there's not note of any tweaks on the 330s.
