Default BHP?

hi there, i forgot to say in my last thread that i have a walbro fuel pump fitted and, i plan on having my car re-mapped. I was wondering with the following mods what sort of bhp i would be producing? My car for people that haven't seen my previous thread is a subaru impreza 2.0 turbo 2000 AWD 1998 S reg.

The mods are-

Walbro 255 fuel pump,
Front mount intercooler,
De-cat exhaust,
Iridium high heat spark plugs,
Magnecor ht leads 8.5mm,
Pipercross induction kit,
Boost control valve running at 15psi,
Larger than stock turbo,
Ecu re-map

Any ideas? Regards Alex.

well you would need to have an idea of how much BHP you actually want before you choose a turbo m8, its recommended you pick the "smallest" turbo to suit your needs

a TD 16G or a VF28, both well capable of 300+ and a crazy early spool up time

I have 2001 Bug with a VF35, simmilar spec to your list no front mount, running 20 psi, maped by Zak at Mocom. Thats 300+.
Plenty quick enough for me.

different mappers will call different amounts of boost safe, but at a guess since your fitting a front mount i would "think" 1.1 or 1.2 bar "should" be do able

more advice on your turbo choice here

Default head gasket

On changing the head gaskets do you have to replace crank bearings etc? I have heard that by skimming the heads it ups the compression ratio therefore resulting in more strain on the bottom end? I will be replacing the head gaskets with multi-layered ones. regards alex.
