Sorry if this has been asked loads before but what waxy polish shiney stuff should I use which is easily available? I want to was the salt off tomorrow and have a good old polish, is there anything good in Halfords?

(Mainly cos I get it discounted through my uncle )

I personally use halfords own. It is cheap, works well and is easily available. Other than that I would go for Auto gleam or something of a similar name it is a pure white bottle with a colured square label. Is a little bit more pricey but they are a good company with a load of products.

The Wax Wizard costs more than the car it does apparently last for a zillion years however!

Thanks all!

Looked for Wax Wizard but halfords in Shresbury aint got none. Got Autoglym instead. But, as usual when I got home it was tossing it down

Hope its better tomorrow

White bottle red label, then if u wanna really push the boat out cap it off with the super resin polish (white bottle gold label).

The Autocar Mag roll of honour for polishes went to Turtle wax gloss guard with Comma top gloss car wash the best wash liquid if this is any use...anyone tried these?

i use wax wizard. costs an arm and a leg but it lasts and gives a great finish so in value terms i've found it as good as any.IMHO
ps i was sceptical at first but once used converted.

Wonder Wax is brill! It takes a bit of time (there are 2 coats) but once its finished, you'll need sunglasses!!!

Sorry, Little Miss WRX knows best, Autoglym is best. Been using it since 1986 when I had to travel 25 miles to a small garage in Barnsley to get it (it was very exclusive and rare back then)

Just shows how "old" I am
