Default type UK sti filter on a JDM STI ok?

Going to change the oil tomorrow as its now coming up for 3k since the last change, will an oil filter from a type UK STI (2003) be suitable for a JDM STI (2003.)

I still have one in the garage from the ownership of my old UK STI.

Cheers
Rob
